Our resident sommelier, John T. Hoty, has pulled some vintage European wines from his cellar for an exclusive offer to Vine & Olive customers.

For admirers and collectors of historic red and white wines from two of the most beloved regions on the planet, we present to you these vintage collections...

• The Federico Paternina Estate has been producing world class wines in Spain since 1896.  This conjunto de cuatro from the Rioja region contains three classic red (Rose and Tempranillo) and one white (Rinsol) stamped with vintages from 1967 - 1971.  These Spanish varietals were fashioned to be served with various dishes, from hearty stews and steaks to poultry and seafood. 
• Villa Antinori is not only the most famous winemaking family in Italy, but they are also its oldest and most venerable.  Since 1385, the Antinori family has been producing some of Europe's most beloved red table wines, and their 1969 Chianti Classico is a crown jewel in their legacy.  Grouped here with their signature 1971 Bianco Della Costa Toscana -- a fish-shaped bottle of white wine to pair with a wide spectrum of seafood -- their 2018 Santa Cristina Toscana, and the 1971 Estate Montefiascone dessert wine.

Each collector's set was purchased on-site at both Federico Paternina and Villa Antinori wineries during the summer of 1974.  Both cases have been properly cellared for the last 40+ years and come to the collectors in the branded wooden case in which the wines are displayed.  Wines must be sold as a set.  $300 each.
